I love collecting objects. I primarily collect vinyl records from the 1960s, especially pop-art type music, such as psychedelia, garage, and freakbeat. However, I also collect books and other bits of paraphernalia from the time period; items such as unopened packages of hosiery, toiletries, hair products, and cosmetics.
Many of my works are small in size. This is primarily because they are drawn to-scale on the objects on which they are based upon. I also make larger paintings. I hope to have photographs of these works sometime in the near future.
These drawings and sculptural objects reflect the environment that I live in. I organize two monthly parties in New York City where vinyl records only are deejayed. Most of my friends have the same interests as me, and also enjoy collecting records, love 1960s culture, and dress in a manner that is inspired by this time period. I suppose it is sort of inevitable that my work mirrors these interests and lifestyle!
